Saint Patrick’s Day, or the Feast of Saint Patrick, is a cultural and religious celebration held on March 17th, the traditional death date of Saint Patrick, the foremost patron saint of Ireland. But, let’s face it – most in America view St. Patrick’s Day as an excuse to wear green, have a little fun and drink a pint (or two!)

If you missed the annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival and Parade in downtown Wilmington, NC this year – don’t fret! There are still plenty of opportunities to don your green and celebrate! **Added bonus: the forecast is calling for 80 degrees and sunny skies!

Your friends at River Bluffs, Wilmington’s popular village community, pulled together a few favorite Patty’s Day events you won’t want to miss.

Porches Cafe
Our very own Porches Cafe is getting in on the Patty’s Day action. Chef Erin has a delicious menu planned for lunch and dinner. Plus, you’ll love our line-up of beer and wine. Come soak up the sunny skies on our outdoor patio and give a toast to St. Patrick!

Irish Trivia at The Harp
Every Thursday at 8:30pm, The Harp on South 3rd Street features Trivia Night with Steve and Missy! Bring your team for a chance to win gift certificates and a bottle of wine. There are 4 rounds and multiple categories. Many claim it’s the best trivia game in town!

Wilmington’s Front Street Brewery
From 11:30am on at Front Street Brewery in downtown Wilmington, Irish-celebrating folks can enjoy a traditional meal of corned beef and cabbage plates. There will be Irish whiskey and drink specials, plus Front Street’s own “Irish Red Ale” will be on tap! If you’re looking for some other fun Irish bars in town, try Halligan’s Public House and Slainte.
