Good Afternoon,
I wanted to let everyone know about some recent activity along Chair Road that you may be interested in. As of yesterday afternoon, an affiliate of River Bluffs Development Corp. now owns the home located at 2407 Chair Road at the intersection of Chair Road and Granny Road (we affectionately refer to it as the “The Pink House”). The house was occupied for many years by a family but in the last several years has been mostly vacant and fallen into a state of disrepair. Three years ago we began an effort to try and purchase it and after resolving a number of title issues and locating the remaining heirs to the property we were able to close.
We have already had discussions with the New Hanover County Fire Department about utilizing the property for training and if they choose to do so, the remnants of the home (after it is burned) will be removed and the Lot will then be maintained and mowed by our crews. If the Fire Department doesn’t utilize it for training we plan to have the home removed in the next several weeks.
It has been very rewarding to get to know all of the property owners along Chair Road and I assure you we will continue our efforts to be good neighbors for all of them while also improving our fantastic neighborhood and its access.
If you have any questions feel free to contact me. Thanks and have a great weekend.
