A Note From Jane:
I participated in last Spring’s New Hanover County Sheriff’s Academy and found it to be a great experience. I liked it so much, I became a volunteer with the Sheriff’s Office.
I received an email from our volunteer coordinator and was surprised to see they still have openings for the next Academy. It starts on February 6th and runs one night per week for 11 weeks. The class (of approximately 45 seats) will fill up fast and it’s a great — and totally free — opportunity for residents to learn a lot about law enforcement and New Hanover County.
