Water service has been restored to the Castle Hayne area. We have received reports that the CFPUA was advising callers that the outage was related to “developer work on the sewer”. That is absolutely not correct. A CFPUA technician shut off an incorrect valve in the Apple Valley community to our south and that was the cause of the outage. The sewer work being done on the road to the marina is not related. Thanks very much and have a great day.

P.S. Don’t forget the public information meeting tonight at 6:00p.m. at the church at the corner of Chair Rd and Castle Hayne Rd. The meeting will be an opportunity to learn more about the proposed sand mine just to the north of GE’s campus.
