Good Afternoon,

So the old expression of “April showers bring May flowers” is something I grew up hearing in Washington, D.C. but when I moved down here I realized it had to be adjusted to “March showers bring April flowers”. The azaleas timed their appearance almost perfectly for the Azalea festival, and I hope you all get a chance to get out and about to enjoy some of the festival’s events.

A lot has happened over the last couple of weeks, and if you haven’t been back into Rosewood Landing, you should take a look. The pavers completed paving all of the new sections we are about to record, and it really looks great. Several repairs were done throughout the neighborhood as well while the pavers were here and several more will be done when they return to pave the road to the marina in another month or so. We already have three homesites in the new section of Rosewood Landing pre-sold, and sales in the rest of the property continue to move forward at a good pace. This past week curbing was installed along the roadway leading to the marina, and unfortunately, some of it had to be taken back out as it was not put in at the proper grade to facilitate stormwater runoff. That will be corrected and then the roadways rocked so driving on them will much easier. Herrington Homes is getting ready to clear the first three Lots of Cottage Park, and you should see construction beginning any time.

Amenities
With the weather getting into the eighties next week, the pool will be open for business you may have seen that the service company has already put out all of the furniture and power washed it as well. One way to make sure we keep the furniture clean is to try and keep sunscreen from coming into direct contact with the vinyl as it can weaken and discolor the straps on the chairs. Cleanup around the RV site is almost complete, and crews will be moving in to finish cleaning up the area around the courts and dog park. Additionally, the final improvements to the dog park should be done in the next few weeks. Irrigation to the resident plots up at the farm is also scheduled to go in over the next two weeks.

Neighborhood Safety
We have arranged for Officer Murphy Hall with the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission-Division of Law Enforcement, to come to speak to the neighborhood along with a Wildlife biologist. The theme of their presentation will be “Coexisting with the wildlife of River Bluffs,” and they will be at Porches on Tuesday, April 23rd from 5:30 to 7:00. This is a great opportunity to learn about our community’s “original” residents and hope you can all attend.
