Good morning,
Next Tuesday, September 24th, at 2:00 p.m. the water service to the entire community will be shut off for two hours until 4:00 p.m. This is to allow a new line to be tied in and unfortunately is unavoidable. Again, NEXT TUESDAY FROM 2:00 P.M. UNTIL 4:00 P.M. YOU WILL NOT HAVE WATER SERVICE ANYWHERE IN THE COMMUNITY. Porches will also be closing early that day as it cannot operate without water. You will be receiving a notice from the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority notifying you of this disruption in service and they are also advising that once the service comes back on that you boil water you intend to consume for at least one minute. This “Boil Water Advisory” will remain in effect until they complete testing after service is restored. Typical Advisories last for 18-24 hours. We will send out a communication once the Advisory is lifted.
