Good afternoon,
I wanted to remind everyone of the neighborhood’s current involvement in the United States Marine Corps Toys For Tots program. Last year the neighborhood graciously donated almost four hundred new, unwrapped toys to the program and I’m sure we will exceed that this year. To contribute, simply bring a new, unwrapped toy to The General Store at River Bluffs or the Sales Center. Toys need to be dropped off by December 8th and a group of neighborhood volunteers will then deliver all the toys donated to the collection point. Our office will be closed next Thursday and Friday in observance of Thanksgiving but will reopen next Saturday.
As we all prepare for the Thanksgiving holiday it is also time to remember that we are all still in the midst of a pandemic. New Hanover County has seen a recent increases in cases, much like the rest of the state, and River Bluffs is not immune to this. There have been cases of Covid-19 in the community in the past and there are active cases now. Please be sure to follow the safety protocols involving masks, hand washing and social distancing. It’s so easy to do and such a simple way to help prevent additional infections. Your neighbors all thank you for your vigilance.
