Good afternoon,

Just in time for a busy weekend, the rain has moved on and the weather for the next several days looks fantastic. Sales activity in the community continues to be strong and we are on pace to have our best year of sales yet. The Pavillion at the marina is basically finished and we are waiting for the final Certificate of Occupancy so the power can be turned on. If you haven’t been down to see it, I strongly encourage you to check it out as it will likely become one of the favorite amenities in our neighborhood. You have most likely seen the large crane and barge working on the riverfront and we expect them to work over the next couple of weeks, transitioning from placing rock and concrete chunks along the bluff to backfilling the areas with sand. This is the perfect time of year to walk the community and see all of this activity firsthand. If you have your pet with you on one these walks, please make sure they are on a leash as we receive several complaints from homeowners about this. Thanks for  your help.

The Parade of Homes continues tomorrow and Sunday and homes will be open from noon to 5:00 p.m. The homes include Premier’s “Pine Island”model, Charter Building Group’s “River Birch Cottage” and two of Herrington Classic Homes’ Cottage Park floorplans. The sales staff will be spread throughout the community in the homes and please feel free to stop by and take a look if you didn’t get a chance last weekend. Masks are required while in the homes and hand sanitizer is available in each home as well.

The very first “Annual River Bluffs Art Show and Food Truck Festival” will be tomorrow from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the food trucks will be on site from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  The show is designed to showcase the art work of community residents and make those works available for purchase as well. In addition to the food, fellowship and shopping opportunities; River Bluffs’ own “Last Chance” will be playing from noon to 2:00 in front of the Mail Center. The band is comprised solely of River Bluffs residents and I’m really excited to hear them play tomorrow. The weather will be fantastic and this event will be the perfect opportunity to put aside the events of this year and enjoy time with your neighbors and appreciate those who are showcasing their artwork (while of course adhering to the Covid-19 safety protocols). Closing out the weekend, A & M Red Food Truck will be on site on Sunday, November 15th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wilmy Woodies will be here on Tuesday, November 17th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Poor Piggy’s will be here on Sunday, November 22nd from 4:00 p.m to 6:00 p.m.

Two members of the Resident Advisory Committee (“RAC”) will be “graduating” at the end of this year. Alan Morris and Richard Berg have served for two years and will be rotating off of the committee. In consultation with management, and because the community continues to grow, the RAC will be adding one additional member to the Committee for a total of six residents. This means there are three available positions beginning next year. While not a formal board, the RAC plays a vital role in working with the development company and CEPCO by providing insight and feedback on everything from neighborhood policies to financial matters impacting the Association. The committee meets once a month (third Wednesday of the month) or as needed. If you would be interested in running for one of the three open positions, please email rac@riverbluffsliving.com to express your interest. We anticipate an election being held in December, around the annual meeting for the Association (which will be held via Zoom most likely). The three residents remaining on the RAC are Don Kohler, Greg Corbin and Jim Gulley.

In closing, the grand opening of The General Store at River Bluffs will be next Wednesday, November 18th at 7:30 a.m. There has been a tremendous amount of work done in a relatively short period of time and I know the Store will be a great addition to our community. More information will be forthcoming about this on Monday. Thanks for your continued support of River Bluffs and have a fantastic weekend.
