Good afternoon,

There is now a defibrillator in the men’s restroom at the tennis court. It is mounted on the wall across from the sink (or on the left as you come in). As a reminder, the code to the door is “2200”. Please make sure that you secure the restroom doors after using them.

On Friday, April 29th River Bluffs will be the host community for an event put on by the Wilmington Cape Fear Homebuilder’s Association. The event is called “Taste of Home” and will allow patrons who purchase tickets to tour six new homes in the community and be fed different dinner courses at each house. Additionally, there will be wine and craft beer pairings at each house. The Artisan Fair portion of the evening will be benefitting Wilmington Area Rebuilding Ministries (“WARM”), a local non-profit that aids those in need with repairs and improvements to their current homes. Many residents have already purchased tickets to participate and if you are interested you can get more information with this link: Taste of Home Event Link. Ticket sales are open to the public and the event will run from 5:30-9:30 Friday evening. In addition to the home tours, patrons (and residents!) may gather in front of the mail center for musical entertainment and an opportunity to visit the Artisan Fair that will be set up along the sidewalk. There is no charge for the music or the Artisan Fair and the General Store will be open late that evening if  you would like to purchase beverages, ice cream or any other treats.

While the full neighborhood band, “Last Chance”, won’t all be able to perform that evening; several of them will be playing and the neighborhood’s very own Artie Quaranta will be coordinating the River Bluffs Talent Showcase as part of the show. If you are interested in performing for your neighbors and visitors to the community, please reach out to Artie directly at 910-632-4076. If you are interested in participating as a vendor for the Artisan Fair portion of the evening, please see this link for more information and remember that you will be supporting WARM in the process. Saturday and Sunday of that week (April 30 & May 1) will also be the first weekend of the annual Parade of Homes. There will be five homes open in the community which both you and the public may tour at no charge. The event runs from noon to 5:00 that weekend as well as the following weekend (May 7 & 8).

Thank you for your continued support of River Bluffs and we hope to see all of you during the Parade of Homes.
