Your friends at River Bluffs, Wilmington, NC’s popular riverside community, are excited about the fun events happening around town in celebration of our nation’s 240^th birthday!

Sounds of Summer….Everywhere!
There are plenty of opportunities to get outside and hear great music this weekend! Grab a few chairs, a cooler and your dancing shoes. Take advantage of these spots for outdoor tunes:

An All-American Baseball Game
What’s more American than a hotdog and a baseball game? Head out to Legion Stadium on Thursday 6/30 or Friday 7/1 and catch the Wilmington Sharks as they “take a bite out of summer!” The Coastal Plain League team hits the diamond in a two-game homestand. GO SHARKS!

Southport: NC’s Official Home for the 4^th of July
Incorporated as the N.C. 4th of July Festival in 1972, the annual festival draws 40,000 to 50,000 people each year to commemorate Old Glory. The big festivities kick off on Friday, July 1^st in Oak Island and carry on around the Southport area through the 4^th. Print the official calendar here.

Fireworks!
No 4^th of July would be complete with out a dazzling display of FIREWORKS! The sky will be a’blaze with color almost every night this weekend. Just follow the crowds, wait for dark and prepare yourself to “oooo” and “aahh!”
