Dear Neighbors,
As most of you know, last year, recognizing the need to have homeowner input in HOA governance activities, River Bluffs Development Corporation (“RBDCâ€) selected three residents (Robert Conger, Elsie Freud, and Lori Nicholls) to participate in what is referred to as the Resident Advisory Committee (“RAC”). The purpose of this committee is to be liaisons between the community and the RBDC-controlled HOA regarding current and future plans/issues. This past year we focused on improving communications, community amenities, consulting on the community activities room (CAR), the operation hours for greeters, the community farm, improving security, and budget related issues as well as various other topics.  The RAC also sponsored a Financial Review Committee and Architectural Review Committee, both which remain active.
RBDC designed this committee to periodically rotate to give other residents an opportunity to participate and contribute their ideas and energy. Therefore, if anyone is interested in taking on this responsibility starting in 2019, please send me your name and contact information. I will compile the list and provide to John Lennon for the development team to select 3-5 residents to rotate into existing spots. To facilitate continuity, we plan to rotate one committee member at a time with two or more months spacing between when each new member joins the committee. The committee members meet monthly with John Lennon to discuss current and future issues and assist the HOA in meeting the needs of the residents and laying the foundation for the governance of the HOA once RBDC is done. If interested, please send your name to my email at lorilee0612@gmail.com.
