The North Carolina Department of Transportation will be holding a public information session this Thursday evening from 5:00p.m to 7:00p.m. at the Wave Transit Operations Center located at 1480 Castle Hayne Road (just before you merge onto MLK Parkway). The meeting is meant to provide information about the installation of a roundabout at Castle Hayne Road and 23rd Street and the widening of Castle Hayne Road from MLK to the I-140 interchange. You will also have the opportunity to provide feedback. We have been in close communication with NC DOT regarding this project and it calls for some notable improvements to that portion of Castle Hayne Road.
The boat and RV storage area is back to normal operations after a lightning strike took out most of the electronics there and at the tennis courts and resulted in over $5,000 worth of damage. There is a possibility that your key fob will not work as all of the fobs had to be reentered into the system manually. If that occurs, there is a fob at the gate office and Ron or Scott can let you in. Please e-mail me if this happens to you and we will get it corrected as quickly as possible.
