Good afternoon,

As we have mentioned previously, work is scheduled to take place along the bluff over the river and the good news is that the barge arrived on site today. Over the next six to eight weeks crews will be placing concrete and stone rip rap along areas of the bluff and shoreline. This will be a continuation of the work that was done last winter along the portion of the bluff behind the fixed section of the riverwalk and will require the closure of portions riverwalk beginning tomorrow. While you will be able to utilize the fixed portion up to the gazebo, sections of the floating portion (and some of the docks) will actually be removed so that the equipment can get closer to the shoreline. You will not be able to access the riverwalk from the marina. Please understand that this is for your own safety. At the boat ramp there will intermittent truck traffic as they load the material onto the barges and if you happen to be down there when the trucks are loading please keep a safe distance and understand that the drivers and operators may not see you.

We have a lot of work to do in a very short period of time and crews will be working diligently to get it all done. Please also understand that this is somewhat fluid in that there will be some days where the entire riverwalk will need to be closed and we will do our best to get the word out to you. This is all in an effort to minimize erosion and future maintenance costs to the HOA, associated with both the bluff and the riverwalk.

We will keep you posted. Have a great evening.
