Good afternoon,

Things continue to stay busy here in the community and the weather seems to indicate that fall may never arrive. Just a few reminders for the weekend and please see an email at the end of this one from Scharlotte Eby who has volunteered to coordinate the annual gift collection for the greeters. Special thanks to Lori Nicholls for her efforts on this over the last couple of years and to Scharlotte for agreeing to step in.

While there wasn’t much activity on Chair Road this week with the waterline installation, you will begin to see more next week as crews begin to install the line. The same is true for the work on the riverfront. The large barge should be arriving early in the week and they will actually be bringing the rock material with them so we don’t have to load it here on site. With the warm weather it can be easy to forget to close your garage door and lock your vehicles but please remember these are the easiest ways to protect your property. Residents are always welcome to use the patio area and fireplace next to the mail center but please remember to completely extinguish the fire before you leave. As simple as that sounds, we’ve had two instances where there have been raging fires at 1:00 a.m. with no one around. Thanks for your help with this. Lastly, the latest financials for the HOA, as well as the notes from the last RAC meeting are now on the portal. Thanks for  your continued support of River Bluffs and have a great weekend.

MESSAGE FROM SCHARLOTTE EBY

Dear friends and neighbors,

Many of you saw Lori’s note to the neighborhood asking if anyone was willing to take over the duties of collecting our annual Christmas gift to the greeters.  I ( Scharlotte Eby) volunteered and will be handling this fun and festive event this year.  Hard to believe that it is time to start thinking about Christmas.

As in years past, we are asking each family to donate $30.00 towards our gift to Scott and Ronnie.  They do such a wonderful job each and everyday for us and this is a great way to show our appreciation to them.  The $30.00 is only a suggestion, feel free to give from your heart and what you feel is appropriate. Everything will be split 50/50.

I will begin collecting money on Monday, October 26th in order to be able to deliver the gifts in the beginning of December.  There will be a box on my front porch that you may leave your cash (only in an envelope with your name on it) or a check (please make checks out to me, Scharlotte Eby).  I will cash all the checks in the beginning of December  so that we can give just one big gift and will let you know several days out before I do that.   I will check the box everyday and all gifts will be kept confidential.  Also, I want you to know that I am tracking the dollar amount of each contribution on an excel spreadsheet in case anyone wants to confirm that their donations have been counted..

My address is 328 Jenoa, The big blue house (as some call it, the one with the pizza oven).  I will also take money at Bunko, Book Club and or Pickleball as long as it is in an envelope.

Thank you in advance,

Scharlotte Eby
