Wilmington Brewing Company

Owned and operated by two Wilmington natives, this brewery’s name speaks for itself! Wilmington Brewing Company offers 15 different beers on tap along with plenty of wine and seltzers, so there’s something here for everyone. They also just opened an ample event space called The Venue right next door, perfect for hosting your next get-together.

Flying Machine Brewery

Their first location opened in the heart of midtown, and now, Flying Machine Brewery also has a second location on Wrightsville Beach. Their taproom features over 30 taps of wine, cider, beer, plus rotating food trucks. This brewery is the perfect social spot with both an indoor bar and patio bar (with first and second-story patio seating).

Edward Teach Brewery

Wilmington’s most historical brewery, Edward Teach, is located downtown on North Fourth Street. This brewery operates in a building originally constructed as a fire engine house in 1907 by architect H. L. Bonitz and builder R. H. Brady. In 2017, this location was renovated and opened its doors as the brewery we see today.

Hi-Wire

Located in Wilmington’s Soda Pop District, Hi-wire is a modern brewery that features 21 beers and three wines on tap. Along with their spacious warehouse setup, they offer a variety of activities for all ages, including a soccer pool, shuffleboard, foosball, table tennis, and more! In addition, Hi-Wire has a serene outdoor area and beer garden, hosting plenty of events like comedy nights, yoga, and pizza nights monthly.

Waterline Brewing Co.

Part of historic Wilmington built in the 1930s; Waterline Brewing Co. is located right under the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge. As Wilmington’s oldest brewery, their unique location carved their tagline, “Brewed under the bridge.” Waterline Brewing Co. not only has a wide selection of ales on tap, but they’re known to host several events, such as comedy night and food trucks year-round.
