Good morning,
This Friday, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. is the Taste of Home event that we have previously communicated about. Ticket sales for the event are now closed but there will be a band (most of “Last Chance” will be playing) performing in front of the mail center during the event and the General Store will be open late as well. There will also be an Artisan Market in front of the Fitness Center and General Store and if you are interested in being a vendor you can still sign up for that here: Taste of Home Artisan Fair Vendor Application. Proceeds from the event go to support the Wilmington Area Rebuilding Ministries (“WARM”). If you are interested in “volunteering” to help us with parking during the evening, there may a nice surprise for you! If you are interested, please reach out to John directly at john@riverbluffsliving.com.
Many of you purchased tickets for the event and we thank you for your support. Please remember that you must check in first in front of the General Store as you will not be admitted to any of the homes without your wristband. Please be sure to check in within the time frame you signed up for and while there will be shuttles moving people between houses, golf cart usage is encouraged. Thanks again for your support and below is the email information from the Home Builders Association.
We at the Wilmington-Cape Fear Home Builders Association are so excited to welcome you to Taste of Home, the inaugural progressive dinner event of the Wilmington Parade of Homes! To ensure a smooth event, please read on for important check-in and arrival details.
  • You MUST check in with HBA staff at the General Store. Upon check-in, you will receive a tour guide, a dessert ticket, and a wristband signifying that you are a Taste of Home guest. Without this wristband, you will not be able to go on the tour or be served food or drink within each home on the tour!
  • Please arrive within the 30-minute window you chose during registration.
  • For all of our event patrons we will have signage onsite indicating where you need to park.  Please follow these signs through the neighborhood for parking. A shuttle will run between the parking area and the General Store throughout the night.
  • There will be shuttles running between the six houses with three houses on the North Route and three on the South Route. You can choose which route you’d like to see first and hop on the shuttle after you check in at the General Store. After you’ve completed that route, the shuttle will drop you back off at the General Store where you can then get on the shuttle for the other route. Shuttles will have signage indicating whether they are the North or South Route. The touring guide you will receive at check-in will also help you keep track of which houses you’ve already visited. It will likely take you about an hour and 15 minutes to work through all six tour stops.
  • You do not need to print off your tickets unless you are giving the tickets to someone whose name is not listed on the original registration.
Thank you for joining us, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
