Good morning,

In the category of “You can’t make this up”, we were advised this morning at 7:30 that the method by which you exit the Cottage Park pool (which was approved and passed on Friday) is actually not ok. We are now told that a visitor to the pool should only have to push the “panic bar” on the gate instead of hitting the button on the wall by the restrooms and then the panic bar. The button on the wall is what disables the magnetic lock on the gate and allows you to leave.

Instead of shutting down the pool, we have disabled the key fob system for the Cottage Park pool until such time as we resolve this issue with the Inspections folks and/or install a different system on the gate. This means that to get into the pool area you need only turn the handle and to leave you need only push the bar. Unfortunately, this also means that access to the pool is not controlled. This seemed to be a better alternative than shutting the pool down.  I am respectfully asking everyone to please help us keep any eye on your community’s newest asset while we work to get this resolved and to make sure that the gate closes behind you as enter and exit. The camera system is still operational. We will keep you posted as this gets addressed.

The Sales Office will be closing early this afternoon and we all wish you a safe and happy 4th of July.
