Our setting embraces the natural beauty of the region, with tranquil woods, hiking trails, and the meandering beauty of the Cape Fear River. River Bluffs offers many amenities, almost too many to list here. It’s a beautiful, comfortable, and relaxed place to live.
As much as we love the physical aspects of River Bluffs, the people who live are truly make our community great. We’re home to friendly folks and families of all ages and kinds, and we’re always happy to welcome new neighbors. We’re especially proud of how caring our neighborhood is, and the ways in which our neighbors work to help the broader community in the Cape Fear region.
As the holidays draw near, it’s important that we are all grateful for what we have, and that we seek to find ways to support those who may have less. In the spirit of the season, the River Bluffs community has several traditions when we work to give back.
Toys for Tots + The Little Red Wagon
The United States Marine Corps spends its days defending the United States, and has for 244 years. The Marines also care about their communities, and as such every year their Toys for Tots program collects toys for underprivileged kids. In 2018, the River Bluffs community joined in the fun for this good cause and with only two days’ notice donated enough new toys to fill an entire car—including the trunk! This year our neighbors are aiming a little higher: River Bluffs folks have a lot more notice and want to see how many SUVs they can fill to the brim with new, unwrapped toys in order to ensure that every child can experience the joy of receiving a gift this holiday season. We’re so proud of our community’s giving spirit and noble goals. NourishNC does great work year round in collecting and distributing food to people in need, but the holidays are always a special time for giving. The Little Red Wagon program is a neighborhood food collection network which strives to collect and distribute food to hungry children around the region. With half a dozen collection dates a year, there’s always another food drive to prepare for—and River Bluffs is always ready to help!
Last year River Bluffs residents donated over 600 pounds of food to The Little Red Wagon, and we’re already looking forward to our next opportunity to contribute. As one participate put it, “The neighbors of River Bluffs seems to always come together when it matters.” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves, and we’re proud to be part of such an amazing community!
Making It Fun With The Golf Cart Christmas Parade
Everyone loves a parade! There’s something about the experience—the floats, the costumes, the lights, the crowd—that brings out the joyful inner child in each and every one of us. The only thing better than watching a parade is participating in one, and the River Bluffs community knows this. As such, our annual Golf Cart Christmas Parade has become a holiday tradition for the entire neighborhood. Running through the heart of our community, the parade is a chance for residents and neighbors to show off their creativity, festooning golf carts with lights, decorations, and more. It’s a colorful, festive, and family friendly good time that brings the entire community together in order to celebrate everything that’s best about the season. The holidays are about togetherness with friends, family, and neighbors—we like to think that River Bluffs offers all three.

While the holidays are a special time, the truth is that joy and celebration should be year round affairs. While our seasonal events show the best of our community, the fact is that in every season River Bluff is home to wonderful friendly people doing wonderful things.
